Some companies and state licensing agencies require completion of courses for academic credit. This option is available to students taking one course or the entire My SeniorCare Edvantage certificate program. You will attend UW-Eau Claire as a special student. No formal admission is required prior to the Special Student Registration. You will not need to reapply as a special student each semester; however, you must notify UW-Eau Claire that you wish to continue your special student registration.
To expedite your registration and ensure you receive course materials in a timely manner, submit your Special Student Application with Course Selection Form to:
UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education
P.O. Box 4004
Eau Claire, WI 54702-4004
Course registration closes 14 days before the first day of class.
COURSE CANCELLATIONS / WITHDRAWALS / REFUNDS
If you are enrolled for transcipted credit, you MUST officially withdraw from a class to maintain good academic standing with the University. If you are taking the courses for credit and find you must withdraw after the start of class, contact the My SeniorCare Edvantage program coordinator.
If you wish to drop all of your courses after the start of the class period, you are considered to be "withdrawing" from the university. This has no impact on your registration for the next semester.
You must drop courses, or withdraw from the university, officially. Becoming inactive in a class does NOT constitute a withdrawal, and may result in an "F" grade(s). It is your responsibility to officially drop a course.
Students who are enrolled for credit and drop in Week 2 of a 7-week Essentials course will receive a 50% refund, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after Week 2.
Students who are enrolled for credit and drop in Week 2 of a 4-week HASA course will receive a 25% refund, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be given after Week 2.
Please notify the My SeniorCare Edvantage coordinator by email or by phone if you are dropping a course.
COST
Students pay UW-Eau Claire undergraduate tuition and fees. These are established by the Wisconsin Legislature in July of each year. Approximate tuition and fees are quoted. Up to date information will be available at the UW-Eau Claire Business Office website. A special fee is charged in addition to the tuition and fees. The approximate cost for a one-credit course in this program will be $400.

WAIT LISTS
If the course you want is full (i.e., closed) when you register and you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please contact the My SeniorCare coordinator by email.
If you are on the waiting list, we will let you know if/when an opening occurs. You would then be able to register for the course. In addition, if we have enough students on a waiting list we will try to add another section either in the current semester or the next semester.
